Who are we?

Job Search Services is job search support! Our friendly knowledgeable staff are ready to help you get started and support you during your job search. Service is available in one of 4 locations in from Metro, Dartmouth to Sheet Harbour, and is free to anyone job searching on an appointment or drop-in basis.

A variety of services and resources are available though Job Search Services.
We offer:

• Job search facilitation and referral services
• Resume writing and computerized resume writing assistance
• Access to Internet Job Search information and Labour Market information
• Photocopying, faxing, mailing, and phone access (a minimal fee may be charged according to each location's policies)
• Return to work action planning (by appointment)
• Newspaper, local job boards, community/student/youth opportunities
• Basic computer assistance and orientation
• Information on agencies, services, committees and training
• Assistance in completion of applications online and manually (for example, student loan applications, employment, etc)
• One-on-one appointments

Background

Job Search Services is an initiative which offers job search assistance, information technology assistance, and specialized workshops for the communities of HRM Dartmouth to Sheet Harbour. This program is sponsored by The Halifax Regional CAP Association, funded by Employment Nova Scotia.
